金柑画廊は、12月3日（土）から12月25日（日）まで、伊澤絵里奈写真展「ピリオド」を開催いたします。本格的に写真作品に取り組んできた頃から弟を撮り続け、そして後に夫となるパートナーと弟を自身との関係性を見つめるように撮影し続けてきました。今回の「ピリオド」は、十年以上にわたり取り続けてきたその作品群の締めくくりともいえる展示となります。写真の中の人や景色の変容が明らかなものであれば、そこに流れる年月を私たちは実感することができる。一方で、感情や意識の変化、揺らぎは一見しただけではわからないけれど、そこに漂う何かを捉えられることがある。伊澤は撮ることでしか捉えられない何かを自身が探す為の行為として、写真を撮っているのかもしれない。長きに渡り寄り添いながら撮影し続けてきたことで、そういった伊澤の視線の変容とそれでも変わらない何かが静かにその写真の中にはあるのだろうと思います。日々は静かに移ろい、微細に様子を変えていく。この機会にご高覧ください。

Kinkan Gallery is pleased to present "Period," an exhibition of photographs by Erina Izawa from December 3 to December 25. She has been photographing her younger brother since the time when she started to work on photography in earnest, and then continued to photograph her younger brother and her partner, who later became her husband, as if looking at the relationship between herself and them. This exhibition, "Period," is the conclusion of a body of work that she has been taking for more than a decade. If the transformation of people and landscapes in the photographs is obvious, we realize that years have passed. On the other hand, changes and fluctuations in emotion and consciousness may not be obvious at first glance, but sometime we capture something from the photographs which is floating over there. Perhaps Izawa takes photographs as an act of searching for something that can only appear through photography. I believe that through the long period of time she has been photographing and standing by them, such a subtle change in Izawa's gaze and yet something unchanging is quietly present in his photographs. The days are quietly changing, and the appearance changes minutely. Please take this opportunity to view the exhibition.
