Toho (FUJIMOTO Miho)
Born in 1969. Lives and works in Kyoto.
After graduating from Kyoto City University of Arts with a degree in design, she joined Yomiuri TV. Involved in a wide range of TV design at YTV, including program sets, advertising, branding, logotypes, costumes, event stages, and tools, etc. After turning 40, became fascinated with clay at a pottery class, after that she installed an electric kiln in the earthen floor of an over 100-year-old house, and began to make pottery by herself. After retiring from Yomiuri TV at the age of 50, she began her career as an artist, and since 2020, she has been active as "Toho." Her major solo exhibitions include "Clay Creatures/dougu" (2020, ASITA_ROOM, Osaka), "Two dimensions/Three dimensions" (2022, Pottari, Tokyo), and “gendogu” (2022, ASITA_ROOM, Osaka).
