2020年7月刊行『ノーバディは君に首ったけ』以来、約6年ぶりとなるサマタマサトの新作ブーグ『MEMO IES』を、2026年6月にキンカンパブリッシングより刊行いたします。
刊行を記念して、金柑画廊にて6月13日（土）より6月28日（日）まで、新作刊行記念イベント「サマタマサト “MEMO IES”」を開催いたします。
あわせて、ラジオ構成作家／ライターの古川耕氏をお迎えし、トークイベントも開催いたします。
音楽、映像、デザイン、文章、ウェブなど、領域を横断しながら活動を続けてきたサマタマサト。本作『MEMO IES』もまた、エッセー、私小説、ビジュアルブック、カルチャー誌——どのジャンルにも属さない、どのジャンルにも辿り着くようで辿り着かない作品となっています。

Kinkan Publishing is pleased to announce the release of “MEMO IES,” a new boog by Samata Masato, to be published in June 2026. It will be his first new publication in nearly six years since “Nobody Is Crazy About You,” released in July 2020.
To celebrate the release, “Samata Masato ‘MEMO IES’” will be held at Kinkan Gallery from Saturday, June 13, through Sunday, June 28. A talk event featuring radio scriptwriter/ writer Furukawa Kou and Samata Masato will also take place during the exhibition.
Working across music, film, design, writing, and the web, Samata Masato has continuously moved between disciplines and forms of expression. “MEMO IES” likewise drifts between essay, autobiographical fiction, visual book, and culture magazine — a work that belongs to none of these genres, yet seems to wander toward each of them without ever fully arriving.

Furukawa Kou, radio scriptwriter/ writer
Born in 1973 in Yokohama, Japan. He works on programs including the TBS Radio show After 6 Junction 2. He is also the general producer of the “OKB (Okiniiri [Favorite] Ballpoint Pen) 48 General Election” and serves on the executive committee of the Japan Translation Award. He currently publishes the newsletter “Furukawa Kou: 12 Months as a Radio Scriptwriter.”
