李 和晋 Hwajin Lee

1991年東京生まれ。4歳から7歳までを韓国のソウルで過ごす。現在、東京在住。韓国系新来外国人という移民としての出自を出発点に、人と土地との関わりにおいて起こる現象を、写真や映像といった記録メディアを通して表現する。それは、制作の過程で見失われていく私自身への手掛かりを物語として紡ぎ直す、相反する志向を含む試みである。オルタナティブな視座から朝鮮半島や東アジアに向き合うことで、歴史的な捻れに含まれる複雑さと豊かさを表現する。主な作品に、韓国の釜山に暮らす祖母を訪ねて制作した「時の窓辺に暮らす」（組写真・2013-2015）、家族写真がうつされた場所を探し求めて旅をしながら制作している「Saudade　Project」（映像・2019-）、ある男の母親探しに重ねて家族や国という共同体と個人との関係を問い直す「イメージをさがして」（映像・2020-2021）がある。現在、在日朝鮮人帰国事業に関するプロジェクト「新潟」（組写真・2021-）に取り組む。

Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1991, and spent from the ages of 4 to 7 in Seoul, Korea. She currently resides in Tokyo. Starting from her origins as an immigrant Korean newcomer, she expresses phenomena that occur in the relationship between people and the land through documentary media such as photography and video. It is an attempt to reweave as a story the clues to herself that are lost in the process of production and includes a contradictory orientation. By confronting the Korean Peninsula and East Asia from an alternative perspective, she expresses the complexity and richness contained in historical twists. Some of her representative works include "Living at the Window of Time" (photographs, 2013–2015), which was created while visiting her grandmother, who lives in Busan, South Korea. "Saudade Project" (video, 2019-), which she is creating while traveling in search of the places where her family photos were taken. In "Searching for an Image" (video, 2020-2021), she rethinks the relationship between the individual and the community, such as family and country, by overlapping a man's search for his mother. She is currently working on a project entitled "Niigata" (photographs, 2021-), which is related to the repatriation project to North Korea.
